Psychological Screening Services

Assessments

Need a specialist opinion around psychological presentation or fitness for role?

At Blue Light Trauma Services, we have experienced trained and accredited clinicians to be able to undertake telephone or online video-based assessments using a GDPR compliant secure platform to be able to undertake a psychological assessment.

The assessment will normally include the completion of a number of clinically recognised and validated questionnaires looking for specific presentations of mental health as well as a telephone or face to face assessment with an individual usually taking around 60-90 minutes.

Following this with the clients consent a report is produced with any guidance, feedback or concerns around their clinical presentation and how it may be impacting on them including their role in the workplace.

Paper Screening - General Mental Health

For larger groups of people, we offer a paper screening option for organisations.  This can often fall under the health surveillance aspect of HSE. Employees are requested to fill in a GDPR compliant online screening tool which is comprised of a number of clinically validated questionnaires as well as questions regarding psychosocial habits such as alcohol consumption, exercise, smoking, quality of sleep etc.

Our clinicians then review the results and provide a number of option

  • No further action – all results are under clinical significance and a note is produced for the individual and manager informing them of this
  • Advice – Low level scores have been picked up regarding their mental health, a confidential advice document is given to the individual details their results, and a note is produced for the individual and manager informing them we recommend re screening in 6 months
  • Appointment – Clinically significant scores have been identified and we recommend and appointment with a clinician for further assessment, this can then be done via the organisations existing services, such as occupational health or an assessment can be booked with one of our clinicians
